Standard Definition Version of iTunes Rental?

I rented an episode of Doctor Who from the iTunes store a few days ago, and it would not go onto my iPod Touch. After checking around, I saw that it was because it was HD, and only SD versions of episodes will go onto your iPod Touch or iPhone. Every other video I have bought comes with an SD version and an HD version. Do rentals that are in HD not come in SD as well? If it's a mistake, is there anything I can do to fix it?
