I like rock chuck and ground hog hunting myself mostly with a Ruger M77 in 243. I assume you are talking about a different kind of hog. I would recommend a good bolt action in 308 to answer your question. .30-06 is only mildly more effective with heavier bullets and there is less cheap ammunition available outside of CMP and a few sources. 308 does everything just as well with 180 grain and below and tends to be more plentiful. You already have some semi-autos and shotguns. So the next logical step is a nice 30 caliber rifle that is more accurate than your Nagant. Savage 10FP or Remington 700 PSS or SPS with good glass would be fun and practical. Either will easily shoot as well as you can and still remain affordable. I sold my two Savage 10 FP's (20 and a 26") to afford an AR-10 and while I won't sell the AR-10, I regret getting rid of both of the bolt guns. Once I purchase another, it won't be going anywhere. While the 26 inch had greater velocity, the 20 inch barrel was much handier and lighter. I would recommend a 700 or model 10 in 308 with a 20" barrel and a good scope. Shooting at distance is a ball. A pistol might be a good time too, I don't see one listed in your collection.

I have an video that runs in HD smoothly, but when you try to watch it, it's in 360p instead of 720p (HD). Does anyone know how to make the video start in 720p? I'm kind of a Youtube noob.

we have a 32inch lcd 720p 60 hertz tv. I was wondering why when we watch the tv we can see blurrs of letters beside the letters. Is it cause we are still using a reagular dvr box from comcast and we have to get the hd dvr from them? or what? even if that problem would it still blur on non hd channels

I'd suggest you get atleast a 600w PSU. While the 5770 is rated at 350w, if you use a quadcore 75w CPU, and the graphics card at full, you're dangerously close to messing up your computer. And that's not counting fans, HD's, or other components. You should always go bigger on the PSU.

Should you be picky about a gun caliber?

If you are set on one caliber that you know you want, stick to it. If it's a matter of, for instance, you want a Remington 700 30-06, but you find a Ruger M77 instead, you might think about changing platforms instead of calibers. I think decisions made laterally in quality should be acceptable, but certainly not for a lesser quality gun. I have found for myself that sticking to calibers I KNOW I want to use has caused me less headaches. Changing platforms has led to some pleasant surprises. An example of this would be, some years ago I wanted another 45 Colt revolver, but this time i wanted a double action revolver and set my sights on S&W model 25's, I searched high and low, everything I found was either beat up way too bad, or they wanted brand new money for used guns. I "settled" for a Ruger Redhawk 4" 45 Colt, and couldn't be happier with it! Instead of thinking about changing calibers, maybe consider changing platforms instead.

THen design your ring around whatever pictures or ideas she gets from your fiancee. Jewelry store rip-off small claims court?

i bought a loose diamond from a jewelry store with a setting to put the diamond in. when i originally agreed to purchase the ring i was under the impression that the center princess cut stone was 1.01 carat, g color, VS2 clarity. they had me look at it through a loupe but i didn't know what i was looking for. i paid $5500 and when i received the ring with the appraisal the appraisal said the ring was h color, SI3. I told them his wasn't what i was told i was buying and they said i must have misunderstood him when he was explaining. He said that it possibly could be a VS2 and he would just change the appraisal for me...(kind of shady right?) I said i wanted a different diamond with the original specs i wanted and thought i paid for and they said it was going to cost me $2300 more. they showed me the new diamond and compared it with the old one, they had me look at it through the loupe and i guess it looked a little better but i don't really know. They told me it was g color VS2 clarity and i believed them. I paid the money ($7800 total) and took the ring home 2 weeks later. For some reason this whole situation felt kind of shady to me, well i guess the guy felt shady so i took it to a couple of different jewelers and they told me the center stone wasn't g color and no more than SI2 clarity. I GOT RIPPED OFF!!!!!! I went back to return the ring and they said no refunds... Is there anything i can do??? can i take them to small claims court??? isn't that for only claims under $5000??? I feel so pissed off and i don't know what to do!!!! please help!!!!!

I took classes to learn how to make jewelery just like silver rings, pendants and necklaces, and I have discovered that most metals are easier than you think to bend, especially ones that have a very delicate shape/form. Most jewelers may not be able to do anything, you would have to actually find someone who can actually repair rings for them to have the right tools. But once there, reshaping is something that is really easy to fix.

If you are on a small budget now, ammo cost is some thing you what to look in to. For that nothing is cheaper then .22LR. In that price range the 10/22 is King. I love mine. One big plus about the 10/22 is the countless after market parts for it. I just have a plain jane model, and don't see adding much more. But to each their own. I would suggest staying with the 10/22. Like I said it can't be beat in that price range.

Have shot before but now looking to get a rifle of my own?

I'm looking for suggestions on a rifle which would best suit my needs. I've never really shopped around for guns before because until now I didn't really care, I'll shoot what ever my grandfather hands me. I've shot rifles on about a dozen different occasions over the last 5 or so years. I've shot a couple different 22 cal, a 308, and an 8mm before. I've shot only a few hundred rounds in my life. Nothing that I've tried seemed to be too over powering. I'm looking for a smaller caliber riffle some where between the 22 and 308. The 22 seams like the logical choice because of the price of ammo and because most would say it is the best gun to learn on. I'm also considering something a little bigger because I might want to hunt medium sized game next year. For now the gun would be used strictly for perfecting my aim. In the fall if I feel comfortable with my shooting ability I might hunt small game like squires or rabbits. I would like to be all set up with everything I would need for under $500. What rifles should I consider?

I'm not allergic to peanuts but I am allergic to tree nuts (they're two different things for those of you who don't know). Pistol dilemma, 9mm vs 40S&W vs 45ACP?

I'm about to graduate college and go into law enforcement and I am about to buy my first pistol. I have shot and held several pistols and have one in mind I am leaning toward purchasing but I'm not so sure about the caliber. I know law enforcement mainly uses .40 and .45 but I would probably use this gun as either a concealed carry or home defense pistol as I would probably be issued a pistol by my employer or instructed on what to get. Either way, should I go with the 9mm since it will be my first pistol to get comfortable with it or should I get a .40 to be comfortable with the pistol I will use in my line of work? If i should get the larger caliber, is the .40 or the .45 better in terms of handling/recoil, I'm not necessarily concerned with stopping power and badassness.

I've got an RCBS manual trimmer, a Redding 2400 competition trimmer, and now I'm using Lee trimmers. I had a job that required travel and the Lee trimmers were way more convenient for that. If I were in your situation, I would consider a powered RCBS trimmer. It required less manual fidgeting once you have the length you need set.

Complicated back story but I will try to sum it up. My parents were together for nearly twenty years they split up when I was 6. But they didn't move into separate homes just separate bedrooms. She was constantly yelling and degrading my father so I am glad they split up. But while yet were separated my mother became involved with a famous musician (from another country Not US) and basically abandoned us (my sister brother and I) for nearly 6 years. She came in and out of our lives but only for a few hours on Sundays. She squandered all the savings my father (a relatively wealthy jeweler) created for us (my bro Sis and I) she was a custodian so legally she could do whatever she wanted. Sold all the jewelry he left for us in safety deposit boxes. And spent it on her musician boyfriend who became her husband. Her husband cheated on her, beat her, and cleaned out all the money. After this she came "back" into our lives looking for love from us but then became enamored with a young dj (he was 29 she was 50). She married him and her life became all about him. At this time she had nothing (no assets within the US) besides a lucrative business that does generate money but only if she is there working and had to start from scratch so she started doing what all pretend rich people do. Renting fancy houses driving nice cars but no cash anywhere. Or so we thought! Come to find out she built a club for her husband nearly 5 years ago. Everything was for him. He recently was caught red handed cheating on her he treats her like garbage. But I wonder if it's karma coming back around to her. I can't help but to feel guilty for saying that I'm so confused! She always says how she hates her life and leaves the country for months at a time without saying anything. She only calls me when she needs me to talk to banks for her or valance her checkbook. Our relationship is all business. Except for the countless hours she spends talking about her husband. I wonder if she really loves me. The factory scope mount on the side of your saiga is the best option for mounting optics in my opinion, and there are many options available to slide right on that thing. The military surplus scopes for sniper rifles all the way to rocket launcher fit the same way and they come off and on with almost none if any loss of "zero". POSP scopes can be had for around 100 to 200 dollars and there are a few different magnifications. As far as cheap ammo goes, a saiga in 5.45 is around 400 shipped, shoots ammo that can be had for around 15 cents a round, where 5.56 or .223 is 35 to 40. Yes the cheap 545 is corrosive but cleaning the rifle should be part of owning the thing and taking care of your tools like a man! 17hmr is 15bucks for 50 average price and that is comparable to 22 mag in price and performance. All my humble opinion, I hope it helps.

I keep hearing that the ARs can be multi caliber. From what I understand you just pop the 2pins out take the upper off then put the new one on. I hate my job, but boyfriend says I have to keep it?

I work in a jewelery store at the moment (I've only had the job since the beginning of February). I got the job after I had an issue/disagreement with my boss at my last workplace (Target) and decided it was time to leave after more than 2 years of working there. I was under the impression that the jewelers really needed staff (a lot had left around Christmas time, and they hired 6 of us to cover for them). But this really isn't the case. I get given 1 shift a week, 2 if I'm lucky, and I get paid $15 an hour (as opposed to $21 an hour at Target). 2 of the girls who were hired at the same time as me have already quit, and the other 3 are in the same boat as me - 1 shift a week. Pretty much everyone else who works there is part time or full time, so there aren't a lot of spare shifts floating around. I have been looking for a new job almost ever since I got this one and realised I wasn't going to get much work, but so far I have gotten nothing else. I am really not enjoying the job - the pay is bad, the hours are bad (my 1 shift a week is generally a Friday night or Saturday morning), and my boss is very demanding (we get spoken to if our sales are low, and mine generally are thanks to the fact that I work the slowest shifts). Custom built pc not displaying.?

Just finished my build, put the power on and everything is spinning up but there is nothing appearing on the display. Getting a single short beep and the user manual says this means a successful boot up. Hd the ram modules out individually and they don't seem to be faulty. 2008 Dodge Caliber making clunking noise?

This only started happening about 30 mins ago, but every time I start my car there is a clunking sound that repeats like 2 times while starting up. I turned off the car multiple times and started it up again to check to see if it would go away and it has not. It drives just as usual and brakes as usual and it does not make that clunking sound other than when just starting up. I just got an oil change so I don't think that could be an issue.

I own the Glock 23 and an M&P .40. My vote is the M&P all day long. Better grip angle WAY more comfortable in the hand, adjustable back straps (Gen4 Glocks have that option too). I can't say enough good about the M&P's. Although I've shot an XD45 which was very comfortable in the hand it a very different feel than .40 so it may not be a good comparison. BUT both M&P and XD will most likely feel better in the hand than the Glock. M&P are pushing out Glocks in PD's country wide which is why the prices on them have come down. I'd personally go M&P.

The only things you can upgrade are the hard drive and RAM. 4GB of RAM is probably enough unless you're doing a lot of heavy data processing. Jewelry store rip-off small claims court?

bought a loose diamond from a jewelry store with a setting to put the diamond in. when i originally agreed to purchase the ring i was under the impression that the center princess cut stone was 1.01 carat, g color, VS2 clarity. they had me look at it through a loupe but i didn't know what i was looking for. i paid $5500 and when i received the ring with the appraisal the appraisal said the ring was h color, SI3. I told them his wasn't what i was told i was buying and they said i must have misunderstood him when he was explaining. He said that it possibly could be a VS2 and he would just change the appraisal for me...(kind of shady right?) I said i wanted a different diamond with the original specs i wanted and thought i paid for and they said it was going to cost me $2300 more. they showed me the new diamond and compared it with the old one, they had me look at it through the loupe and i guess it looked a little better but i don't really know. They told me it was g color VS2 clarity and i believed them. I paid the money ($7800 total) and took the ring home 2 weeks later. For some reason this whole situation felt kind of shady to me, well i guess the guy felt shady so i took it to a couple of different jewelers and they told me the center stone wasn't g color and no more than SI2 clarity. Why won't my HDTV pick up any channels all of a sudden after an internet repair?

Does the Daisy Powerline model 93 co2 bb gun pistol NOT shoot POINTED FIELD BBs? They keep jamming!!?

I wanted to use my BB gun with pointed feild pellets, ONLY because we have a fisher cat (Fisher) that comes around at night while me and my dogs are outside and I want to be able to scare him away IF I have to. BUT I bought the pointed bbs and they kept jamming?! I made sure the pointed end would be leaving the muzzle the right way, so they went in the clip the right way. They get stuck right after leaving the clip and jam right before entering the chamber of the gun. It's almost like the bell end of the pointed pellet is too big to fit through the chamber? even though it's the right caliber .117 and mm 4.5. IS this type of BB gun supposed to shoot these pointed pellets? the pointed pellets were Crosman lead pointed field pellets.

My husband and I purchased rings from Romano's Jeweler in September 2010. We were promised cruise package and lifetime warranty. Within a month the diamonds started falling out of my ring. Then it took 3 months to return it, they failed to call us. We repeatedly asked about the cruise package, and they always said next week. Finally we took my husband's ring needed to be resized so we took it in. We waited and after a month we went back in and we found out that they lost his ring. They gave him a new ring, which broke in 1/2. Right now we have not received the cruise package and have a broken ring. What can we do? I honestly would like a refund and I will return them their rings. It just upsetting how they lost his original wedding ring. Are we able to take them to court?

My boy friend and I have been talking about marriage lately and we have been looking at engagement rings. All the rings I see have huge stones in the middle and I just don't really like how they look. I love the look of my promise ring. And would love to find a jeweler who could possibly make an engagement like my promise ring. I'm not to fond of the metal used to make my promise ring (rhodium over sterling silver) I tend to have bad luck with stelring silver. I'm looking to get the ring maybe made out of platinum with diamonds as the stones. A wildcat rifle made with 50 caliber shell caseing necked down to 8mm?

The Army went to a gunmaker, many years ago (about 50) to see how much velocity they could get out of a rifle. Purely as an experiment. He got an 87 grain .22 caliber bullet to gravel at a little over 6000 fps. The bullet disintegrated on the target. That was the end of that story. Many tests have been done trying to push bullets as fast as they can go and still get accuracy. There comes a point with every caliber where the increase in velocity of a given projectile requires a disproportionate amount of powder. The optimization of powder for bullet weight for caliber is generally termed "bore capacity". The current available cartridges in 8mm are already "over bore capacity" and the amount of powder you could pack into a necked down .50 cal. machine gun cartridge would certainly be way over bore capacity for that caliber. Then there is the factor of recoil. I actually owned and shot (only 9 times, all I could handle) a .378 Weatherby Magnum. This was the .460 Weatherby Magnum case necked down to .375 caliber. I couldn't handle the recoil (I'm 6'2", 200 lbs). My favorite two guns are the .300 Weatherby Magnum and the .375 H & H Mag. I mention this to show that I don't mind heavy recoil...but there was a limit. So, if you want to try this as an experiment and just for the hell of it, go for it. I suspect the recoil would be horrific, the amount of powder would be enormous, the flame of unburned powder (and burning powder) coming out the muzzle would be awesome, noise also big. And I don't know what in the world you could do with it (other than write a magazine article). But go ahead and have fun if it is something that pleases you.

I am not a fan of ATI (therefore don't know a lot about them), but 4550 to 4670 doesn't seem like a big difference and to lose 512mb of memory. It doesn't seem worth it to me.

See if you can do this even though it's mounted already. Lay it on some newsprint and try to read the type, in a real gem the type will be unreadable in a simulated gem in will be readable. Yes, take it in to be appraised, it may still have value even if not a genuine diamond.

My goodness. That sounds monumentally frustrating. Does he have an post traumatic stress or anything that you are aware of? I wish I could help you. This seems like there is obviously some sort of mental lapse there. Is there anyway you could address the situation where he wont feel threatened. Somehow say like hun I am feeling frustrated by the way things are transpiring. I feel we need to sit and come up with a firm plan so we know what we are doing. If you come up with a solution and it comes back to the same old situation perhaps you could contact a health facility in your area. Maybe they would have better insight and could help you. It may just be a simple thing like getting a to do chart and writing - go to such and such to look for rings or take (whatever your name is) to this place or that place, Maybe the visual reminder will help his brain from skipping ahead. I think you're doing an awesome thing by keeping it honest because let me tell you growing up my mom was in the hospital for two weeks for a surgery, I am 25 years old and still don't know why. They still won't even tell me and my parents are honest people. Having my dad frantically take care of us was weird and it just wasn't mom. Keep doing what your doing and if all else fails and you get tired of answering his questions then have him go with you to the doctor like a special thing for him, so he can see that you're being taken care of, but also to ask the doctor ALL those nifty questions floating around in his head.

Sony bravia 32" motion blur is really bad?

So I recently bought a sony bravia 32" LCD television. on hd cable the picture looks amazing a little blur but nothing to complain about. When i plugged in my ps3 and tried out god of war 3 with an hdmi cable, the motion blur was terrible, whenever you move there's a blur cloud just following. When I don't move at all it looks better. I also tried some games on my xbox like gta 4 and halo... again I got the same motion blur problem. Is there some way to reduce the motion blur? I've already tried to turn off noise reduction etc. and whatever I do it still looks pretty bad :( I have no idea if I could return this tv back, if I can't i'm stuck with something I don't enjoy. If there is a fix to this? Please help me out!

Reusing Center Stone from Prior Engagement Ring?

I had an engagement ring from a prior (failed engagement). My new fiancee knew I had the ring and I tried, unsuccessfully to sell it. When I bought the new ring I used the center stone from the old one in a new setting. The stone was approximately 1.1 ct. and high quality. The new setting was also nice and from a designer jeweler. I did this to save money for a better honeymoon or towards a future house down payment. I didn't tell her about the stone but she found out and is very upset. Was I wrong to do this?

What should I do with my life?

I was forced to drop out of college with only 1.5 credits remaining due to financial issues. The Private loan company which I was using, chase, decided that I did not qualify for their student loans any longer due to my parents financial situation. I still had 2 full years remaining when they stopped paying for my education, so I was forced to use the governments financial aide loans, which I have now racked up more than $40,000 with, on top of the $100,000 i borrowed from chase. I was forced to move away from the school because there was no work in the city or all of Oregon for that matter and I was desperate to start making payments on my loans. I was forced to move back home and still can't find any decent work other than part time minimum wage which is only $7.36 here in colorado. I have been unemployed for about a year, and have 2 loans in default, but I am making sure to pay my credit card payments on time. I am just about out of money, and still have no job prospects. Even if I were to take a minimum wage job here I wouldn't make enough to pay all of my bills... I am very lost in life and have no clue what to do. I would like to finish school, but see no way I can without financial aide and a job. I have attempted to contact all of the History professors at both the University I attended and the Local University here in Colorado asking for work; whether it be cleaning their office or helping with research, and have had no positive result. My parents are just as strapped for cash as I am, my mother is working 3 jobs and barley making enough to feed herself let alone me, and my father is a jeweler who has been out of work for some time due to large jewelry chains like zales and walmart. You want the 30-06 if you're hunting bear for sure and I prefer it when hunting deer out to 250-300yds; that would also have you covered for hunt although a .22 can take them out. If you have a wide open area you're hunting go with the 270, it does shoot much flatter.
